Every year, more and more schools are celebrating Christmas Sweater Day with teachers and pupils. For us, it’s the best way for them to have fun in school when Christmas is edging closer.
Since 2012, the international NGO Save the Children has been holding Christmas Sweater Day across schools in the UK. It consists of a party organized during a school day, in which pupils and teachers celebrate Christmas together by wearing a Christmas Sweater.
For Christmas 2021, we worked with Save the Children during the Christmas Jumper Day campaign. We donated a portion of the profits from each order to the NGO to help them continue to improve the health and education of children in the most disadvantaged countries.
In theory, the best day to hold the party is the last Friday before Christmas. Generally, though, each school organizes it according to their needs and the availability of families.
Gradually, Children's Ugly Christmas Sweater day has taken hold in schools across the UK. A few years ago, no one knew what Christmas Jumper day was, but nowadays, most children, parents and teachers are mad about organizing class parties and getting the chance to wear a Ugly Christmas Sweater together.
